What is Watt-Hour (Wh)?
Watt-hours measure total energy storage capacity. A 500Wh battery can deliver 500 watts for one hour, or 250 watts for two hours. Think of Wh like a fuel tankโhigher capacity means more energy available for riding.
Battery Capacity vs. Voltage
Voltage (V) affects power output, while capacity (Wh) affects range. A 48V 500Wh battery provides more power than a 36V 500Wh battery but offers similar range. Most fleet scooters use 36V-52V systems, with higher voltage providing better hill climbing and acceleration.
Battery Degradation in Fleet Use
Fleet batteries experience more charge cycles than personal use. Expect 70-80% capacity after 500 charge cycles. Lithium batteries maintain capacity best when kept between 20-80% charge and stored at moderate temperatures.
Swappable vs. Fixed Batteries
Swappable batteries enable instant "refueling" by exchanging depleted batteries for charged ones. This maximizes fleet uptime but requires battery inventory and swap infrastructure. Fixed batteries simplify operations but need charging time between uses.
