Modify Server Configuration on OKAI Rental Vehicles

This guide is the field workflow for modifying an OKAI rental scooter or bike's IoT server configuration. It is intentionally similar to Switching OKAI Vehicles to the Levy Server, but is written as a technician checklist for devices already on the bench.

What You Need

  • Windows PC.
  • OKAI ZK1 USB debugging cable.
  • Modify Mode software.
  • ZK Tool / ZK Series Manage Tool.
  • Vehicle IMEI.
  • Access to the vehicle's IoT module.
  • Levy Fleets vehicle detail page, if you need the per-device IoT password.

Do Not Use the Main Quick Start Form

Use the command pane, not Quick Start Settings

The old support article included screenshots of ZK Tool's main server form. For Levy Fleets migrations, use Ctrl + L and send the AT commands below. Filling the main Quick Start Settings form can overwrite unrelated APN or carrier settings.

Modify Mode Steps

  1. Close ZK Tool.
  2. Launch Modify Mode.
  3. Select the USB serial port.
  4. Click Open Port.
  5. Enter the IMEI.
  6. Confirm the mode switch.
  7. Close Modify Mode.

The device must be in TEST mode before the ZK Tool command pane can reliably send configuration commands.

ZK Tool Steps

  1. Open ZK Tool after Modify Mode is closed.
  2. In COMWizard, select the correct USB serial port and enter the vehicle's per-device IoT/AT password from IoT Credentials on its vehicle page.
  3. Click Try to Connect and continue only after COMWizard reports Check Password Success.
  4. Press Ctrl + L.
  5. Send the reporting interval command:

Per-device AT passwords

COMWizard authenticates directly with the IoT module. It does not have a separate desktop login. The sample commands use the common OKAI factory AT password. If ZK Tool echoes the command but does not return OK, replace the sample password with the password shown in IoT Credentials on the vehicle page.

Normal Mode After Configuration

After the device comes online in Levy Fleets, return it to normal mode before deployment.

Sign in with your active Levy Fleets account to view.

Keep ZK Tool connected until the Operation Log shows the command echo followed by OK. If OK does not appear, do not assume the mode changed. Confirm the vehicle's per-device IoT/AT password and retry only while the module remains connected and the previous attempt is visibly rejected.

Expected Result

  • The IoT module reboots.
  • It reconnects to the Levy server within 30 to 90 seconds in normal signal conditions.
  • The vehicle detail page shows a fresh IoT timestamp.
  • The IoT Devices page shows the IMEI online.

If it does not reconnect, use Using ZK Tool to Debug OKAI Fleet Scooter / Bike IoT to collect logs.
