Everything you need to do on day one to get your fleet live — zones, pricing, and contact info

Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Levy Fleets! Your account and default operating settings may already be prepared for you. Confirm that each delivered vehicle and IoT device appears in the dashboard before your fleet goes live.

Everything else — vehicle settings, auto-pause, auto-end, automatic refunds, reservation time, minimum battery — is already pre-configured with sensible defaults. You can fine-tune those later.

Just Received Your OKAI Vehicles?

Charge and power each vehicle before setup. For EB100 fleet e-bikes, follow OKAI EB100 Fleet Onboarding. For OKAI scooters, see OKAI IoT Initial Activation. Once each vehicle reports online, come back here to finish your setup.


Step 1: Add Your Contact Information

Before anything else, make sure your contact details are set so you receive operational alerts (low battery, offline vehicles, etc.) and your customers have a way to reach support.

  1. Go to Settings > Payouts > Contact Information to confirm your operator contact and primary mailing address.
  2. Go to Settings > Other > Support to set the support email and phone number riders see in the app.
  3. Go to Settings > Alerts to choose the operational alert email and notification types.
  4. Click Save Changes after editing each settings page.

Your account address identifies your business for account and payout records. It does not control whether a vehicle's IoT device can connect.

Operational Alerts

Use the Alerts tab to set the operational recipient and enable the vehicle, ride, and payment notifications your team needs.


Step 2: Set Up Your Zones

Zones define the rules of your operating area — where customers can ride, where they should park, and where they can't go. This is the most important part of your setup.

Navigate to Zones in the sidebar and click Add Zone.

Zone Types

Zone TypeWhat It Does
Service AreaThe overall boundary where your fleet operates. Riders are alerted if they leave this area.
Parking ZoneDesignated spots where customers can end rides (e.g., near transit stops, commercial areas).
No-Parking ZoneAreas where rides cannot be ended (e.g., private property, fire lanes).
No-Go ZoneCompletely restricted — the vehicle's throttle is disabled in these areas (e.g., highways, construction sites).
Speed Limit ZoneVehicle automatically slows down here (e.g., pedestrian areas, school zones, narrow paths).

How to Create a Zone

  1. Click Add Zone
  2. Use the map drawing tools to outline the boundary — click to place points and close the polygon
  3. Name the zone (e.g., "Downtown Service Area", "Main St Parking")
  4. Select the zone type
  5. For speed zones, set the speed limit
  6. Click Save — the zone is active immediately

At minimum, you should create:

  • One Service Area covering your entire operating region
  • Parking Zones at key locations where you want customers to return vehicles
  • No-Go Zones for any dangerous or restricted areas nearby (highways, private property)
  • Speed Limit Zones for any pedestrian-heavy areas

Zone Enforcement

Zones are enforced in real-time. When a rider enters a speed limit zone, the vehicle automatically reduces speed. No-go zones disable the throttle entirely.


Step 3: Create Vehicle Models

Vehicle models let you categorize your fleet (e.g., different scooter types, e-bikes) and assign pricing to each.

  1. Go to Vehicle Models in the sidebar
  2. Click Add Model
  3. Enter:
    • Model Name (e.g., "Segway Max", "Ninebot F2 Plus")
    • Vehicle Type (scooter, bike, moped, etc.)
    • Icon — an emoji for quick identification on the dashboard
  4. Click Save

If Levy imported your delivery manifest, the models, IoT devices, and vehicles may already be assigned. If the Vehicles or IoT Devices page is empty, follow the hardware-specific onboarding guide or contact support with the delivery manifest rather than creating placeholder records.


Step 4: Configure Pricing

Navigate to Pricing in the sidebar to set up what customers pay.

Setting Up Pricing

  1. Go to Pricing
  2. Select the vehicle model you want to price
  3. Set your unlock fee, per-minute rate, and any other components
  4. Optionally add pricing tiers for longer rides (e.g., lower rates after 30 minutes)
  5. Click Save

Pricing by Model

You can set different pricing for each vehicle model — useful if you have premium vehicles alongside standard ones.


Step 5: Go Live

With zones, models, and pricing configured, you're ready to launch. The key is understanding vehicle statuses — these control whether a vehicle is visible and rentable in the customer app.

Making Vehicles Available

  1. Go to Vehicles
  2. Select the vehicles you want to make available
  3. Change their status from Offline or Transportation to Available
  4. They'll immediately appear in the customer app

That's it — your fleet is live!

Fine-Tune Your Settings

Your fleet comes pre-configured with defaults for all of these, but you can adjust them in Settings:

  • Auto-Pause — automatically pauses rides when a vehicle is stationary
  • Auto-End — ends rides after extended inactivity
  • Automatic Refunds — refunds very short rides (under 3 minutes / 200 meters)
  • Reservation Time — how long a customer can reserve before the hold expires
  • Minimum Battery — the battery threshold below which vehicles aren't available
