Vehicle Models
Vehicle models define the specifications and characteristics of the different types of vehicles in your fleet. Properly configured models help customers understand what they're renting and help operators track fleet composition.

Access Vehicle Models from Dashboard > Vehicle Models in the sidebar.
Overview
Vehicle models provide:
- Visual identification - Icons and names for customer-facing apps
- Specifications - Speed, range, and battery information
- Categorization - Organize your fleet by vehicle type
- Reporting - Track performance by model
Creating a Vehicle Model
Step-by-Step
- Navigate to Vehicle Models
- Click Add Model
- Fill in the model details:
- Name (required) - Display name for the model
- Vehicle Type - Category (scooter, bike, etc.)
- Icon - Emoji or symbol for identification
- Manufacturer - Vehicle manufacturer
- Max Speed - Maximum speed in KPH
- Range - Estimated range in KM
- Battery Capacity - Battery size in WH
- Model Year - Manufacturing year
- Click Save

Model Icons
Using Emojis
The simplest way to identify models is with emojis:

In the Customer App
The model icon appears:
- On the map when selecting a vehicle
- In ride history
- On vehicle details screen
- In receipts and invoices
Editing Models
To modify an existing model:
- Navigate to Vehicle Models
- Click on the model you want to edit
- Update the desired fields
- Click Save
Impact of Changes
Changing a model's specifications (like max speed) affects display only. Actual vehicle behavior is controlled by the IoT device and ECU settings.
Deleting Models
To remove a model:
- Navigate to Vehicle Models
- Click on the model
- Click Delete
- Confirm the deletion
Model with Vehicles
You cannot delete a model that has vehicles assigned to it. Reassign or delete those vehicles first.
Assigning Models to Vehicles
During Vehicle Creation
When adding a new vehicle:
- Select the model from the Vehicle Model dropdown
- The model's specifications will be associated with the vehicle
Via Import
Include the vehicle_model_name column in your CSV:

Bulk Reassignment
To change the model for multiple vehicles:
- Export your vehicles to CSV
- Update the model name column
- Re-import the CSV
Pricing Integration
Vehicle models are the foundation for your pricing structure. Each model can have its own pricing configuration.
How Pricing Links to Models
- Navigate to Dashboard > Pricing
- Select a vehicle model
- Configure pricing for that model
- The pricing applies to all vehicles of that model
Pricing Fields Per Model

| Pause Rate | Charge while ride is paused | $0.15/min |
| Per-KM Rate | Distance-based pricing (optional) | $0.10/km |
| Minimum Price | Floor price per ride | $2.00 |
| Maximum Price | Cap per ride (optional) | $100.00 |
| Daily Cap | Maximum daily charge across rides | $75.00 |
Tiered Pricing
You can set up tiered pricing for each model:
First 30 minutes: $0.35/min
31-60 minutes: $0.30/min
61+ minutes: $0.25/min
Tiers can be based on minutes, hours, or days.
Different Pricing by Vehicle Type
Common pricing patterns:
- Scooters: Lower unlock fee, higher per-minute rate
- E-Bikes: Higher unlock fee, lower per-minute rate
- Mopeds: Premium pricing across all tiers
Model-Based Reporting
Fleet Composition
View your fleet breakdown by model:
- Navigate to Vehicles
- Use the Model filter to see vehicles of each type
- Summary cards show counts per model
Performance by Model
Track how different models perform:
- Rides per model
- Revenue per model
- Maintenance frequency
- Customer ratings by model
Best Practices
Naming Conventions
- Use official manufacturer model names
- Include variant identifiers if applicable (e.g., "G30P" vs "G30")
- Be consistent across your fleet
Specifications Accuracy
- Enter accurate specifications for customer transparency
- Update specs if firmware changes affect performance
- Document any modifications from stock
Model Organization
- Create separate models for significantly different vehicles
- Avoid creating models for minor variations
- Use notes on individual vehicles for unique characteristics
